Biography

I began play the bass at the age of 17 years as self-teacher and quickly developped an acoustic study, note by note, only listened to the most important rock music and rock-progressive groups, such as Police, Led Zeppelin, King Crimson , Rush, Mahavishu Orchestra, Living Colour.
At the age of 20 I got in touch with jazz and fusion styles without go deeper but always studying by "ear" parts of Jaco Pastorius and Jeff Berlin. And it is in this period that I started play in the jazz-fusion "OLTREQUANDO" formation, a trio basically fusion but also with Progressive 70s influences. With this group I refine my "sound" and grown my technical knowledge without neglecting harmony which I studied on specific texts. In the same period I also undertook experimental and ethnical music projects with "AnnoZero" and musical situations even more "commercial" as with the"DHARMA ONE" group.

Around 30 years I started a more consistent study of jazz standards and analytical study of some big bass players (and their related techniques), including: Mark King, Victor Wooten, John Patitucci, Larry Graham, Dave Larue, Stuart Hamm, Yoshihiro Naruse, Jaco & Jeff Berlin included.
By the end of 2005 and since 2007 I have played with BETA ELEMENTS group, a PROGRESSIVE ROCK band with a KING CRIMSON style, but also with multi-ethnic and Jazz-Fusion influences.
In 2006 I founded, with the guitarist Piergiorgio Lucidi and the drummer Michele Benigna , the trio LOB Tech Tones.
From March to September 2007 I collaborated with KingCrow, the most known progressive hard rock Italian band.
In September 2007 I was involved with LOB TECH TONES in JAZZ For HOLIDAY 2007 Jazz Festival held in Calabria (S.Nicola di Arcella- South of Italy).
